Pacific Pellet incorporated the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) into its hiring process because workers who earn the certificate have documented their skill as well as a desire to set themselves apart. Pacific Pellet recruits exclusively through the Oregon Employment Department. Applicants are informed that the employer gives preference to the NCRC, and NCRC assessments are proctored at the WorkSource Center in Redmond. Applicants for jobs at Pacific Pellet are encouraged to include their certificate number on their résumé, allowing for easy online verification of their certificate.
